Professional Supervision: Shibogama Nursing Director

Full time and Casual position available.  Full time is 10 days on site and 10 days out.

Core Function: Coordinates and delivers occupational health and safety to all employees of Musselwhite Mine site, which includes education, promotion of positive health models, treatment and prevention of occupationally related illness and injury. To provide workplace surveillance through programs such as lead level monitoring, emergency care when necessary and on call service. 

REGISTRATIONS: College of Nurses of Ontario, member in good standing
                                Occupational Health Nurses Association of Ontario and/or RNAO membership
 

Occupational health Nurses Association of Ontario and/or RNAO membership
 

CERTIFICATIONS:        ACLS, ATLAS/TNCC/ITLS, IV therapy, First Aid

Carrying out nursing duties at the mine site, the nurse must have knowledge, skills and experience to enable professional judgement as it relates to health education, health promotion, illness and injury prevention, treatment of common illness and rehabilitative services. Consult and refer as appropriate.
Establish, Implement, Evaluate the plan of care as per the nursing processes

Record and report information obtained using SOAP charting: use of appropriate documents ie: WSIB forms
