The School of Nursing (SoN) at the University of British Columbia - Vancouver campus invites applications for up to three (3) full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor positions. The anticipated start date for the position is July 1, 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The School of Nursing is celebrating 100 years at UBC, the oldest university-based nursing program in Canada. We have an international reputation for excellence in research and scholarship, and we value health equity, social justice, and community engagement. We offer a full range of innovative programs, including an intensive upper-division BSN, MN-NP, MSN, MPH/MSN, MHLP, and PhD programs.

Successful candidates will be expected to develop an independent, nationally recognized research program that will be innovative, and relevant to health practice and/or policy for the future of health care and people’s health in Canada and beyond. They will expected to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise graduate students (both Masters and PhD), and to provide service to the University and the nursing profession. Applicants must have earned a PhD in nursing or a related discipline and be eligible for registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP). Applicants with relevant professional expertise and scholarship representing all areas of nursing are invited to apply; we are particularly interested in the areas of NP practice, cancer nursing, seniors care, mental health and substance use, and interventions research methods.
