Today at 2:15, there was a memorial for the 215 children in Kamloops. This is for those children and for the

survivors. And even though some survived…they were never the same. I went for all of them, including my mom who is a survivor. I brought my daughter's shoes and laid them down for those children who didn’t make it back home to their families. Residential schools stole a lot of beautiful souls, by killing them, killing their spirit. We stand with our fellow indigenous people across the country.
